What Competition Training Involves

Competition dancers receive additional training sessions focused on performance quality, stamina, stage presence, and competition-specific choreography. Routines are developed for solo, duo/trio, and group categories across styles including contemporary, jazz, hip hop, and lyrical.

Competitions We Enter

Our team participates in regional and national competitions throughout the year, including the MOVE performing arts competition and other AIDT-affiliated events. Dancers who qualify at nationals may represent South Africa at international championships.

Is Competition Right for My Child?

Competition participation is optional and by invitation based on commitment and readiness. Our teachers identify students who would benefit from the competition experience and discuss it with parents directly. The programme develops discipline, resilience, and performance skills that benefit dancers whether or not they pursue dance professionally.
