AIDT Dance Examinations
Internationally Recognised Dance Assessments
AIDT (Associated International Dance Teachers) examinations are internationally recognised dance assessments that provide students with a structured progression path and formal qualifications. Outline Dance Centre is an accredited AIDT examination centre, and our students sit for exams annually across all dance disciplines.

How Examinations Work
AIDT examinations are graded assessments conducted by external examiners (not your regular teacher). Students are assessed on technique, musicality, presentation, and understanding of the syllabus material. Exams progress from pre-primary through to advanced levels, giving students clear goals and measurable achievement at each stage.
Exam Disciplines
Examinations are available in ballet, contemporary, jazz, and other styles taught at our studio. All dance classes at Outline follow the AIDT syllabus, so examination preparation is integrated into regular training rather than treated as a separate activity.
Why Examinations Matter
Formal examinations give students external validation of their progress, build confidence through achievement, and provide an internationally recognised record of their dance education. For students considering dance as a career or further study, AIDT qualifications are a significant credential.
